Tera Alecia Studer Scholarship Information

Instructions and Qualifications:
1. Application must be filled out by the applicant.<-- Click here to download.
2. All requirements must be met and all information must be completed in order for the application to be considered.
3. Attach an essay (250minimum -500 words maximum).

4. Scholarship applications are judged by no less than three impartial community leaders that our not members of NKEA.
5. Send Application and essay to:

6. Application must be received by March 01 of the year in which the scholarship will begin.
7. Each applicant will be assigned a number and their name will be removed from the application.
8. Applicant will be judged on the following maximum points:
a. Academics - 20 pts
b. Honors - 10 pts
c. Community service - 10 pts
d. Extra curricular activities - 10 pts
e. Personal recommendations of teachers - 20 pts
f. 250 to 500 word essay - 30pts
Maximum points = 100 pts
 

 
Qualification Requirements:
- Child, Grandchild, Legal Ward of a Member, or Deceased Member of NKEA.
- Enrolled or planning to enroll in any two or four year accredited college, university, technical college, or trade school.
- All fields of study will be considered.
- Selection:
   - Scholarship applications are judged by no less than three impartial community
      leaders that our not members of NKEA.
   - Judges will be selected by the NKEA scholarship committee.
   - Each applicant will be assigned a number and their name will be removed from the
     application.
- Awards will be made payable to the attending institution only.

- Scholarships will be announced at our May meeting of each year.
 
Tera Alecia Studer Scholarship Information:
Two individual scholarships in the amount of $1,000.00 will be awarded each year. A separate scholarship account will be funded with the proceeds of our annual Golf outing. An initial transfer of $4,000.00 from our general account will fund the 2004 awards and allow for set-up cost and fees. Any unclaimed scholarships will be extended to the following year and will be offered in addition to scholarships available.
